Shiranamikai hosts regular special training events. Ohta Sensei, Chief Instructor of The Japan Karate Association in England, visits four times each year to teach and conduct gradings, and we have organised visits from JKA Sohonbu instructors: Ueda Daisuke Sensei in 2018, Imamura Tomio Sensei in 2016 and Shiina Katsutoshi Sensei in 2014.
Our annual summer camps and trips to the beach are also great fun, and we’ve enjoyed trampolining, karaoke, dinners, tea and cake, lunches, kodo drummers, film nights, expos… in fact we enjoy lots of events throughout the year and if it’s your birthday… well, let’s see what cakes you bring!
